Volleyball Recap: Kalida Falls Despite Big Games from Carlie Siefker and Katherine Krouse

Kalida was the 3-2 winner over Pandora-Gilboa when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Kalida Wildcats came up short against the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that’s the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Rockets since October 10, 2019.

Kalida was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn’t the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

Kalida’s loss came despite strong showings from Katherine Krouse and Carlie Siefker. Krouse had five digs and 17 assists, while Siefker had 14 digs. Siefker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she’s now had ten or more in the last five games she’s played…
