Regardless of whether you call it Mary Jane, jazz cabbage, the devil’s lettuce, wacky tobaccy, sticky icky, giggle bush, silly cilantro, reefer, ganja, pot, weed, or by its government name, cannabis, it has been legal in Michigan for recreational use since 2018.

While it’s legal in the state of Michigan, one sheriff is asking his residents to vote against allowing marijuana dispensaries in a city because he worries they will do more harm than good.

Livingston County Sheriff Michael J. Murphy took to Facebook to voice his concern to residents of Howell about a proposal regarding the establishment of two adult-use retail cannabis establishments in the city of Howell.

Howell is not the only city where Sheriff Murphy opposes dispensaries…
