SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Several unhoused community members in Northampton who were swept out of their encampment by police last Friday were finally able to pick up their belongings Thursday morning.
The Moose Camp residents were a little disappointed about the condition of some of their belongings, and a little disheartened by the way the city of Northampton went about the whole process. However, they told us it could have been worse and they’re ready to move on to their next campsite.
“This was a lot, so we didn’t really have time to go through everything, but we’re hopeful that it was taken care of with some sort of care,” Moose Camp resident Ty Nichols said…
