10-Year-Old Fargo Girl Has Been Battling Brain Cancer For a Year

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Reagan Newton, known to her family as a sassy, caring, and loving sister and daughter has been receiving treatment for glioblastoma. This type of cancer usually strikes adults between the ages of 45 and 70. But for Reagan, it came early and hasn’t left.

“The clinical trials and all the drug trials and stuff are aimed towards adults. There’s nothing aimed towards the children so she doesn’t qualify for any clinical trials or anything. So it’s just standard of care with what they generally do for the adults. You know the chemo, radiation, and surgery, but she wasn’t even able to finish chemo,” said Heather Newton, Mom.
