Multiple wildfires burn in southeast North Dakota

KINDRED, N.D. (KFGO) – Fueled by high winds and extremely dry conditions, multiple wildfires burned in southeast North Dakota Thursday afternoon.

At least three fires burned in southern Cass County and in Richland County. A fire near Walcott forced the Highway Patrol to close a stretch of Highway 46 west of I-29 due to smoke for a short time.

Early indications are that some structures near Wyndmere were burned in the fires…
