Wildfires Affecting Oil Production in the State

Fargo, ND – The recent wildfires are cutting into North Dakota oil production. The director of North Dakota’s pipeline authority says North Dakota is down about 500-thousand barrels so far from the wildfires. Pipeline authority director Justin Kringstad told KXNET that the massive wildfire near Ray had shut down the Tioga gas plant temporarily, as well as several nearby wells as a precaution. The operator of the gas plant says a few well sites lost some buildings in the wildfire, but fortunately there were no oil tank fires…
