SPRINGVILLE – Peyton Ellas has been working and promoting Native Californian and other varieties of native plants for years. On October 15, 2022 she opened Blue Oak Nursery in Springville where she now has 150 species of plants with 95 percent of those being native to California.
Blue Oak is a growing nursery, and it’s part of her landscaping business, and she leases the 10 acres site from the public utility district in Springville. The land isn’t habitable, because it’s in a flood zone, but perfect for the nursery.
Blue Oak is open to the public on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. with Ellas and her crew there to provide help and information…
