Mustangs stumble out the gates against Bullpups

Tulare Western football falls behind in a 42-7 home loss to Hanford; the Mustangs fall to 2-1 in the West Yosemite League and 6-2 overall

In this newest victory, the Bullpups wasted no time getting their offense going. On their first drive of the night, the Bullpups used a balanced attack to march down to the Mustang seven-yard line. Senior quarterback Daniel Gomez then ran the ball in himself for the touchdown. The Mustangs stopped the two-point try, but the Bullpups had a 6-0 lead halfway through the opening quarter.

With the ball back, the Bullpups got their high-tempo offense back to work as they quickly worked their way down to the Mustangs three-yard line. Hanford then directly snapped the ball to junior Zephaniah Sesay for the touchdown run and then handed the ball to him again for the two-point attempt to make it 14-0. The Tulare Western defense had stood tall all season, but Hanford’s fast-paced offense provided a unique challenge for them…
