CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Coach Christa Fabre’s young Lee Lady Flames battled GSC’s unbeaten University of West Florida for four-sets, 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-15, 25-20) before falling inside Walker Arena on Friday evening. It was only the third time in conference play this season that the Argonauts had been forced to play a four-set match. With the victory the visitors improved to 9-0 in league play and 14-5 overall while the Lady Flames dropped to 5-4, 11-10.
Freshman Payton Danley tied her career high with 13 kills, while Carmen Perez and Sara Palumbo recorded nine kills each. Naomi Hockless knocked down five. However, it was not a great night in the attack department overall for the Lady Flames as they finished with a .109 mark.
