AMHERST, N.H. — Firefighters from several New Hampshire communities are back home after spending more than three weeks in North Carolina to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Several fire officials in Amherst, including Chief Roy Olsen and EMS Lt. David Muse, were among the group of 66 people on the Mass Task Force One crew, which helped with the evacuation of people and pets in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene hit.
