A person was killed and as many as two others were injured Friday afternoon in a crash involving a trash truck that crashed into a building in Mount Vernon. Baltimore City fire officials said units were called around 3:54 p.m. to the 600 block of southbound Cathedral Street near Centre Street for a crash. The two injured people were taken to hospitals in stable condition, fire officials said. SkyTeam 11 reported that the trash truck struck three vehicles before crashing into the building, displacing multiple people. Bus routes are impacted by road closures in the area, as a police investigation continues.
