RACINE, WI — Democratic vice-presidential hopeful Gov. Tim Walz will visit Racine on Tues., Oct. 22, on the first day of early, in-person voting.
This is Walz’s first visit to Racine and his sixth to Wisconsin since he was chosen by Vice President Kamala Harris to be her running mate.

The location of Walz’s visit hasn’t been disclosed yet. A source with Harris’s Wisconsin campaign confirmed with Racine County Eye that the governor will be in town following a visit to Madison where he will appear with former President Barack Obama.
The Harris campaign continues to focus on swing states like Wisconsin, which are considered critical for a Democratic win come Election Day. Walz was recently in Eau Claire and Green Bay.
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a swing state is where, ” … Republican and Democratic candidates have similar levels of support and which is considered to play a key role in the outcome of presidential elections.”…
