Bloomfield remains unbeaten, powers past Bernalillo 20-7

BLOOMFIELD – Junior running back Peyton Duncan rushed for 200 yards and scored a fourth quarter touchdown to lead the Bloomfield High School football team to a 20-7 win at home Friday night over Bernalillo.

In a battle between the two remaining unbeaten teams in Class 4A this season, top-ranked Bloomfield extended their perfect season, improving to 7-0 while handing the second-ranked Spartans their first loss.

Duncan’s fourth-quarter 31-yard touchdown run, which took place just one play after the Bobcats nearly blocked a punt deep inside Spartans territory, put Bloomfield ahead by two scores with just 6:15 remaining in the contest…
