Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced a bridge would be renamed to honor Celtics legend Bill Russell.
The North Washington Street Bridge connecting Charlestown with the city’s West and North ends has been under reconstruction with work scheduled to be completed this spring. The bridge is a block from TD Garden and will be the William Felton “Bill” Russell Bridge.
