Driver ejected from vehicle dies after striking tree in overnight crash: FHP

LECANTO, Fla. (WFLA) — A driver is dead after the Florida Highway Patrol said he got ejected from his vehicle after colliding with a tree overnight.

At 2:08 a.m., a 41-year-old Homosassa man in a Chevy Corvette was traveling south on CR-491, just north of West Fennessy Lane in Lecanto.
