Community members run for a good cause at UVA’s 4th Annual Community Bridges 5K.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Over 300 participants registered for UVA’s 4th Annual Community Bridges 5K, walking and running to support four local nonprofits: the Ivy Creek Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club of Central Virginia, Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry and the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center.

UVA President Jim Ryan organized the 5K to strengthen the relationship between the university and its neighbors.
