The Memphis Grizzlies desperately wanted to get back to winning basketball games. And in the 2024 NBA preseason, they have done just that.
While some major storylines like the injuries to Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Luke Kennard, and Marcus Smart have dampened an otherwise exciting early slate, perhaps the biggest revelation has been the play of second-round draft pick Jaylen Wells.
It is safe to say that the rookie forward has carried his explosive 3-point shooting from college to the NBA. He is already responsible for a Grizzlies game-winner and making an early case to be recognized as the “steal” of this year’s draft.
