SEDALIA, Mo. (KCTV) – A barrage of aircraft could be seen across Missouri skies as teams from Whiteman Air Force Base performed statewide training exercises over the weekend.
Leaders of the Missouri Wing of Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary have announced that they participated in a statewide training drill on Saturday, Oct. 19. The exercise was meant to be an evaluation to ensure members can perform as required for missions.
Air Force officials indicated that the mission base was located at the Sedalia Regional Airport with an additional operating base at the Joplin Regional Airport. Residents of Jasper, Newton and Pettis counties could see CAP aircraft, ground teams and drone crews during the exercise…
