Low-income students disproportionately represented in ETHS’s quarterly report

Though students with free or reduced price lunch eligibility make up just 34 percent of ETHS’s population (as of 2023), the students made up 60% or more of disciplinary incidents and absences recorded so far this school year at Evanston Township High School.

A team of four ETHS administrators (Director of Research, Evaluation & Assessment Carrie Levy, Associate Principals of Student Services and Education Services Mia Lavizzo and Keith A. Robinson, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Pete Bavis) debuted the data showing the disproportionality at the District 202 Board of Education meeting Monday night at the high school.
