Authorities are on the lookout for a bank robbery suspect and are calling for public support to bring forward any information that could lead to an arrest. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported an armed robbery that took place at the Chase Bank in Lake Forest on Thursday at approximately 12:03 p.m.
With the perimeters set up by deputies and a lockdown executed at a nearby school, the Orange County Sheriff’s deputies rushed in response to the emergency at Portola Parkway and Bake Parkway. While the deputies were yet to arrive, a male suspect brandishing a handgun entered the bank and fired a shot near the feet of a teller, as detailed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. No injuries were reported, despite the alarming gunfire.
Described as being between 5’6” and 5’10” with a thin build, the suspect was last seen wearing a bucket-style hat, yellow-hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, and gloves.
