LAKEWOOD PARK, Fla. — Lakewood Park Church in Fort Pierce, which was damaged in last week’s deadly tornado outbreak, is collecting relief supplies to distribute to the community.
“We immediately thought of our mission, which is to be for our community,” said Leo Vollbracht, pastor of Lakewood Park Church in Fort Pierce. “So we turned our destroyed space into kind of a warehouse. And, our larger space that we have wasn’t touched, we were able to use as a distribution center and so the reason we’re doing it is because people are in need.”
Church leaders say they’ve had more than 300 people a day ask them for food, cleaning supplies and other relief items…
