The San Francisco 49ers made Ricky Pearsall’s place on the active roster official on Saturday, clearing him to make his debut against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan had already confirmed on Friday that rookie first-round receiver Pearsall would be activated from the non-football injury list and play in the Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs, exactly 50 days on from being shot through the chest in an attempted armed robbery in San Francisco.
To make room for Pearsall, the 49ers placed kicker Matthew Wright on injured reserve. Wright suffered a dislocated shoulder in his Niners debut against the Seattle Seahawks last week…
