Shay Lewis-Sisco is running for Ward 2 commissioner on the Cambridge City Council. She is a career coach at Dorchester County Public Schools and the founder of Maryland Parents Supporting Parents. Lewis-Sisco is the secretary of the For All Seasons Board of Directors and the vice president of the Cambridge Waterfront Development Inc. Board of Directors. She is also on the Chesapeake College Multicultural Advisory Committee, a member of Cattail Crossings Homeowners Association Bylaws Committee. She used to be on the Dorchester County Public Schools Title I Parent and Community Engagement Committee as well as the AFSCME Maryland Council 3 Local 3641 Bargaining and Negotiation Committee. Lewis-Sisco has experience with family, workforce development and education advocacy on the state and local level. She is currently participating in the inaugural Emerging Leaders Program.

I believe every candidate running for the office has great attributes to contribute to the City. I believe my commitment and strategic approach would make me a great candidate for office. Commitment to not only being an advocate for community needs, but an ear to listen while maintaining responsiveness to the constitutes. The commitment to communicate and engage beyond campaigning. My strategic approach to serving is engaging the Community Leaders to become a part of a responsive team with the goal of them being an extended contact for community to have a number of ways of getting information and sharing their concerns.
