1) A lot of people have been asking for Drew Pyne to play. We saw today why he hasn’t. It’s not just that he isn’t as good a quarterback as Brady Cook, it’s that the coaching staff clearly doesn’t trust him to do much of anything. You can’t consistently win games in the SEC if all your’e doing is handing the ball off and trying to kick field goals (and don’t even do that particularly well, more soon).
Pyne averaged less than five yards per attempt in the first half. He tried two passes more than about eight yards downfield and neither one was close. And yet Missouri was calling timeouts to get him the ball back with 100 seconds to go which was as confusing as just about everything else that happened…
