A look back at what has happened in Auburn’s season
I took some time Saturday to look back at what has happened to Auburn football this season. I even looked at the play-by-play from all five games against FBS opponents. Doing that paints an unusual picture, to say the least.
Losses to Cal and Arkansas are easy enough to understand. Those were all about five turnovers in each game. Nothing else is so easily explained.
Blowing double-digit leads in the fourth quarter against Oklahoma and at Missouri is the worst of all of it. I make no claim to understand why plays happen the way they do, but I know this: Auburn is no more than a half dozen plays from being 6-1. That doesn’t change anything, but it’s the truth…
