BLUE ISLAND, Ill. – A woman has died and a man was seriously injured after a crash Friday night in Blue Island.
Blue Island police said just after 10:30 p.m., officers were sent to the 2300 block of Vermont Street to investigate reports of a single-vehicle crash.
The preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling northbound in the 13100 block of Western Avenue and drove through the guardrail at the curve, causing the vehicle to flip over multiple times down an embankment before hitting a tree, according to investigators.
