Week 8 of the college football season has concluded, and several marquee matchups lived up to expectations. One of these exciting games was between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Crimson Tide led 7-0 at halftime in Knoxville. However, Tennessee came out strong, scoring 24 points in the second half. The Volunteers ultimately won the game 24-17, handing Alabama its second loss of the season.
David Pollack stated on his YouTube show, “David Pollack College Football,” that if Nick Saban were still the coach at Alabama, the Crimson Tide would be undefeated. “I think they’re undefeated with Nick Saban,” Pollack said. “I just do. I think the (lack of) discipline is showing with the penalties that just keep adding up. The mistakes that add up.”
The Crimson Tide committed 15 penalties for 115 yards against the Volunteers. Pollack highlighted a crucial penalty late in the game. With Alabama trailing 21-17 and less than two minutes remaining, they were backed up on their 33-yard line, facing a third-and-seven situation. Quarterback Jalen Milroe threw an incomplete pass to Kendrick Law, which set up a fourth-and-seven situation.
