The Santa Rosa Junior College women’s soccer team beat American River College 4-0 at home on Oct. 15 in their second conference match after a tough loss at San Joaquin Delta College Oct. 11.

Following the match, the Bear Cubs moved up to 9-2-1 on the season, with a 1-1 conference record. As a team, they’ve scored 53 times this season in 12 games with 4.42 goals per game.

“This is a huge stat we’ve been super proud of since we started this season,” said SRJC head coach Crystal Chaidez. “Goals are not easy to score in any sport let alone soccer, so to have that stat is a big testament to our offensive players but also our team to have a more attacking minded mentality but also our formation since we started the season has been a 1-3-5-2 [formation] and i think that’s a really good positive effect on our goal scoring ability.”…
