SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Organizers of a free food giveaway in Sarasota estimated they helped close to five hundred people Sunday who were left with little to no food in the wake of Hurricane Milton.
The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee paired up with All Faiths Food Bank where volunteers handed out everything from produce and poultry, to breads, and meats.
Organizers said while the event at the Jewish Federation didn’t open until 11am Sunday along McIntosh Road, some people were already lined up an hour in advance…
