WLBT Sunday AM Weather

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Dry weather continues for us across Mississippi. Fire danger remains limited due to low relative humidity and lack of rainfall. Thankfully the winds have died down, compared to the last couple of days.

High pressure is a “fair weather” maker, and we have plenty of that over the eastern U.S. So, expect sunny days and clear nights to continue into the week. A southerly flow will help increase our temperature, so expect normal to above normal temps in the coming days. Our normal high/low for today is 77/52, so expect the mid-80s in the coming days.

So, when is our next chance for rainfall? Models show a cold front getting its act together together out west, over Texas and Oklahoma, around Tuesday. It should move toward us late week, increasing clouds for us by Thursday. But… all indications are it will be a dry front. So, rain-free for at least another week…
