Runners to watch: Cross country athletes tune up for regional meets

With district meets in the rearview mirror, the UIL cross country postseason shifts to regional competition where runners take aim at earning a spot at the state meet.

Student-athletes from Plano ISD, Prosper ISD, Allen and McKinney Boyd will head to Lubbock to race at Mae Simmons Park on Monday in the Region I-6A, while runners from Lovejoy, McKinney North, Prosper Walnut Grove and Celina will remain in the Metroplex at Grand Prairie’s Lynn Creek Park on Monday-Tuesday for Region II action in their respective classifications…
