Photo confirms that Kings are trying to replace Kevin Huerter with Doug McDermott

On Wednesday, it was announced that the Sacramento Kings signed Doug McDermott. This move did not come as a surprise, as many people expected the team to add a new player after the Kings traded Jalen McDaniels to the San Antonio Spurs to add cap space.

However, the fact that the player was McDermott did raise some questions. While not as good of a player as Kevin Huerter, McDermott does fall under the same player archetype as Huerter (great shooters who are below average defenders). So, technically speaking, the Kings can now look to move Huerter to address a different need on their roster (they could use another two-way wing/forward).

These rumors took on a whole new life after this picture from a Halloween party surfaced on social media.
