1 What moments or programs stand out as the proudest achievements in Associated Churches’ 80-year history?
A: One of our greatest achievements occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of Department of Health mandates, our offices were closed for almost one year. However, we did not curtail our distribution of food to the community.
Using revised distribution guidelines, we were able to distribute more than 1,115,000 meals to over 74,000 individuals (a 21% increase). Almost 28,000 of those individuals were children. We were able to accomplish this even though we experienced a 27% decrease in available volunteers…
