South Carolina isn’t known for its food, but it should be. This past August, I visited both Charleston and Hilton Head Island not expecting to try some of the best food I have ever had. From oysters to iced tea, fried chicken to ice cream, both cities were the ultimate summer culinary destinations. So, if you’re planning a visit to the Palmetto State or want to know more about the must-try foods (as well as some you could skip), here is a short-but-sweet review of all the restaurants I visited during my stay in South Carolina.
