Northern Central Railway of York appoints superintendent operations manager

The Northern Central Railway of York (NCR) announced last week that Jennifer Krieg has been named the organization’s new superintendent operations manager. Krieg will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s 1860s replica steam locomotive, authentic Pennsylvania Railroad 1959 diesel engine, new GE 80-ton diesel locomotive, and eight passenger cars.

Her role in ensuring the longevity and safety of NCR’s railway equipment is pivotal to the organization that offers historical, educational, and entertainment experiences to guests of all ages, a press release said.

In 2020, Krieg began her career at NCR as a fireman on the organization’s 1860s replica steam engine, known as the William H. Simpson No. 17. As her role evolved within the organization, she served as an engineer on the steam engine and GP-9 diesel engine…
