People with expired prescription medicines in their cabinets are being urged to turn them in this coming Saturday.
Prescription Drug Take Back Day is sponsored nationwide by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency. Lt. Jason Payne with the Jefferson City Police Department explained what types of medication can be turned in.
“All solid dosage pharmaceuticals that are in the containers. Liquids in their containers can be accepted,” Payne told Missourinet. “Individuals should ensure that the caps are tightly sealed to prevent leakage when they hand in the controlled substance.”…
