Showers and storms continue to drift to the northeast this evening. Chilly overnight temperatures area leading to a freeze watch to southwestern Colorado.
Though the rain is beginning to lighten, severe thunderstorms are still possible across eastern New Mexico. Severe thunderstorm warnings have continues across the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and into far eastern New Mexico. The main threat surrounding these severe thunderstorms is heavy rain and hail.
A combination of heavy rainfall and snowmelt near the Sangre de Cristo Mountains has caused flash flood warnings to be issued for the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon Burn Scar Area.
