Citizens who have always wondered about how the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation works now have a chance to learn firsthand in a program designed to educate and foster cooperation between MBI and the community.
The Mississippi Associates Program (MAP) is a 12-week course with six in-person classes and other online modules that will help explain procedures and investigative policies to help the public understand why the agency focuses as it does.
One aim of the program, organizers say, is to help create “community ambassadors” who will take the information that they learn in MAP and educate their community and neighbors. The goal is to ultimately build confidence in MBI while putting MBI more in touch with their communities…
