Frisco Commuters Brace for Increased Travel Times Amid Roadway Projects

Travel times will likely increase in the coming weeks due to a series of roadway projects across the city. According to updates from the City of Frisco municipal website, new and ongoing pavement replacements and intersection improvements are expected to cause congestion along key routes. Drivers should pay special attention to work zones at WB Panther Creek at GrayHawk Blvd. and EB Panther Creek at Teel Pkwy., with both projects expected to last about two weeks, weather permitting.

Additional efforts are also underway on 1198 Pelican Dr., 9964 Madrone Dr., and Port Edwards Ln.. However, delays may occur if weather slows down progress, even with workers already on-site operating heavy machinery and tools.

Intersection improvements will further contribute to delays, with daily lane closures scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Notable intersections impacted include Coit Rd. and SH 121, where work began in September, and Stonebrook Pkwy. and FM 423, which has been under construction since May.
