Virtuoso Seva Venet — a traditional banjoist and guitarist said to channel the spirit of Django Reinhardt and Danny Barker in his traditional jazz stylings — will lead the Storyville String Band of New Orleans in an Oct. 26 performance at the Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall in its Old Mandeville home.

The doors at 430 Lamarque St. open at 5:30 p.m.; music from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; $10 cash at the door for adults, while students and youth are free.
