The Board of Directors of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) has selected its next President. Miller Girvin, currently serving as the organization’s Chief Operations Officer, will succeed Greg Barker, who will step down as EDPA’s president at the end of the year, after more than four years at the organization’s helm.

She brings a wealth of experience in economic development, leadership, and community engagement. Born and raised in Birmingham, Girvin joined EDPA in 2021 and has been instrumental in facilitating innovation and entrepreneurial growth across Alabama. Girvin’s prior leadership in the private entrepreneurial ecosystem as Chief Executive Officer of the Alabama Capital Network, combined with the past four years of focus on growing EDPA’s key innovation and talent retention initiatives, and her contributions to Governor Ivey’s Innovate Alabama Commission have positioned her as a key advocate for Alabama’s business and start-up ecosystem.
