WEST POINT, Miss. – Analiese Raath carded a first round of even par, 72 and the Mercer women’s golf teams sits in seventh place in the 16 team field at The Ally from Old Waverly Golf Club following the first round on Monday.
As a team, Mercer had a round of 10-over, 298 and is 20 shots back the current leader, 11th-ranked Vanderbilt who carded a first round of 10-under, 278.
Raath – playing as an individual – had a steady round playing 16 of her 18 holes at par or better including three birdies. It was Raath’s lowest round as a Bear in her first year at Mercer. Ella Mäki-Tanila also had a good round finishing with a 1-over, 73 on the day…
