Catawba Ridge’s Reagan Lynch led the Copperheads to a second-place finish at the Upper State tournament.

CHESTER – All three local high school girls golf teams will be fighting for a state championship next week.

Catawba Ridge, Nation Ford, and Fort Mill all qualified for the 5A Division II state tournament next week in Easley with their scores from Monday’s Upper State championship at Chester Golf Club. The Upper State tournament was played over 18-holes and was a par 72 tournament. Only one golfer shot even par as TL Hanna’s Sierra Schulze was medalist with a 72 (35-37).

TL Hanna won the event with a 308, setting a school record by five strokes. Catawba Ridge was second with a 340 followed by Eastside at 346 and Easley and Indian Land tied for fourth at 352. Fort Mill finished sixth at 360 and Nation Ford was seventh at 369…
