Atlantic County Veterans Museum Hosts Armistice Day Exhibit

The Atlantic County Veterans Museum will host a photographic exhibit, “Legacy of Remembrance: Armistice Day Monuments of New Jersey,” beginning October 31 through January 4, 2025.

The exhibit highlights many of the Armistice Day monuments created and installed throughout New Jersey after World War I, including Atlantic City’s Liberty in Distress by Frederick MacMonnies. Historian/Photographer Erik L. Burro will give a presentation about the monuments on Saturday. November 16 at 1 pm at the museum.

The Veterans Museum is open Thursday through Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm. Admission is free and each visitor receives a self-guided tour booklet. Group tours are available by appointment and can be scheduled by calling (609) 909-7305…
