Boating Remains Choppy

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – High pressure and a tight pressure gradient continues to bring sunny, breezy and choppy conditions to bay and inland waters along the Suncoast. Winds will continue to come from the northeast between ten and 15 knots with gusts as high as 20 knots. Seas are diminishing a bit but will remain choppy at two to three feet. Winds die down and seas become calmer closer to the weekend. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through the overnight. This could be reinstated on Tuesday. At the very least, expect an exercise caution statement to be issued.

High temperatures will continue to coast around the mid 80s all week. Tuesday’s dew points will bring the feels-like temperature to the low 90s. Dew points are on the rise therefore humidity is more noticeable, but remains moderate. Rain is not in the forecast until the weekend. And even weekend chances are very low…
