Oxnard police shot a man Monday night after officers responded to reports of shots fired in the Via Marina neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 3700 block of Leeward Way, a neighborhood just east of Channel Islands Harbor and north of Naval Base Ventura County, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
At some point, officers shot the man who was taken to a nearby hospital trauma center, said Cmdr. Steve Trickle around 11 p.m. He did not know the severity of the man’s injuries…
