Cowboys’ personal items stolen from San Jose State locker room

SAN JOSE, Calif. — According to multiple statements from Wyoming Football head coach Jay Sawvel and the University of Wyoming itself, multiple players’ personal belongings were taken from the unlocked visitors’ locker room during an outing the Cowboys would ultimately lose Saturday.

In his regular Monday press conference, Sawvel confirmed that the theft did in fact happen and action is currently being taken.

“Whatever amount of valuables it was, it was substantial,” Sawvel said. “I know that there is a process that the athletic departments are working on to get that done. I think the reminder for us is that, when we go certain places, we will also bring additional personnel to ensure the safety of the things our players have.”…
