Members of the Prattville Fire Department joined others around the state recently to deploy to Western North Carolina to help with rescue and recovery. The group returned home on October 6.
The fire department wanted to extend that help even further. They are collecting donations for people in that area impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Items needed include blankets, new winter clothing, bike cables with locks, chain saws, ceramic heaters, extension cords, Ring cameras, wood pellets for heating stove, battery powered CO2 detectors and 9 inch trailer tires. The fire department ask that no more dog food be dropped off as they have plenty at this time…
