A Walgreens pharmacy in one Southern Tier store has been closed due to reported staffing issues.
A sign at the entrance to the Walgreens store at 153 Main Street in the village of Owego states “Pharmacy Closed Permanently.”
The pharmacy was closed for several weeks during the summer. In August, WBNG reported Walgreens had provided a statement indicating the company was “working diligently to reopen the pharmacy as soon as possible.”
But Walgreens apparently was unable to hire a pharmacist to staff the location. A sign indicating the pharmacy was shut down permanently was put in place Monday evening…
