Thomas Freeman (Tommy) Sewell, Sr., 90, of Winston, Georgia, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
He was a native of Newnan, Georgia, first of four sons born to the late Hazel Herrin and Glover Byram Sewell, Sr. He graduated from Newnan High School in 1952 and in 1956 married Annette Perry Sewell.
He served in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, spending some of that time in Iceland as a naval aviation radio operator. After his service, Tommy and Annette returned to Newnan to raise their family…
